6-Month
Certifications

Major Inspections
According to the Worksafe Best practice Guidelines for Mobile Elevating Work Platforms, an EWP requires a major examination:
- After 10 years’ service and, thereafter every five years
- If ‘imported used’, prior to entering service in New Zealand
The major inspection requires the MEWP to be stripped down and any paint, grease and corrosion removed from all relevant critical components to allow a complete and thorough inspection and all structural welds sandblasted and NDT for cracks using Dye Penetrant (DP), Magnetic Particle Inspection (MP) or Ultrasonic inspection (UT) techniques.
CBIP is a Worksafe New Zealand recognised Qualification Issuing Agency in accordance with Health and Safety in Employment.
